IPA President demonstrates full support to Lesotho Section

International Police Association-Lesotho Section would host extra-ordinary council meeting on 9 April, 2015.

This decision was reached by the council meeting which took place on 27 March, 2015 at Police Headquarters in Maseru.

The aim of the meeting is to present the financial report and do the finishing ups of the Congress’ preparations.

Vice President Finance Mr. Bereng indicated that he could not manage to present the report due to the commitment he experienced during the national elections period.

Other aspects that were discussed in the meeting included the work plan of 2015 and Congress which will kick off on 29 April to 2 May, 2015 at ‘Melesi Lodge.

The Congress is the highest body of IPA -Lesotho Section. It takes place in every three years as depicted by the constitution.

The council meeting was officially opened by the President Mr. Holomo Molibeli. This was his first attendance as the president of IPA-Lesotho Section.

Mr. Molibeli showed that challenges that face Lesotho Mounted Police Service could be easily resolved by friendship manifested by IPA.

“IPA has grown up tremendously, members are able to visit other sections (Countries) frequently for educational and entertainment purposes”. The President said.

He urged that LMPS will support IPA-Lesotho Section efforts at all times.

The 1st Vice President Administration Ms Thato Matlanyane said members should be well prepared for this memorable event.

She indicated that this year’s Congress is the elective one, meaning after that there will be a new executive committee that will run the Lesotho Section.

The council meeting is comprised of the members of the national executive committee and nine representations from three regions.

The regional representations include the Regional Chairperson, Secretary and the Treasurer.
