Grandchild arrested for theft of M35,640.00

THABA-TSEKA:  A 25yrs old man of Mantšonyane Ha Toka, appeared before Thaba-Tseka Magistrate court on the 27/11/15 in connection with theft common of an amount of M35, 640. 

It is alleged that on the 26/11/15, the accused who stays with his grandmother aged 77yrs stole the money which was kept by his grandmother as contributions from the society which she is a member too.  

He was later arrested on the same day but only M28, 700 was found in his possession. Therefore he was found guilty as charged by the court and sentenced 2 years imprisonment or to pay a fine of M8, 000 which he failed to pay.   

Mohale’shoek: A suspect in a brutal killing of  84yrs old woman which happened between 19 and 20th November, 2015 has been arrested by police on the 23rd November, 2015.

The suspect Jubere Nyamatsane a Mosotho man aged 24yrs appeared before Mohales’Hoek Magistrate court on the 26th November, 2015 in connection with murder of the victim and is in custody while awaiting his trial. 

It is alleged that the deceased was last seen at 14:00hrs on the 19th November, 2015 while herding her cattle near the village.

It is further indicated that on the 20th November, 2915 at about 07:45hrs,  a young school girl aged 10yrs  who was going to fetch a broom to sweep at school realized the body of deceased near the village called  Lilomong and she went to report the matter to the elders.

The body was found with multiple wounds which seemed to have caused by a sharp object.
