Because we are an organization that strives for the realization of women’s rights which were ignored for a long time we attempt and do succeed to influence decisions made by officials in the government, most often legislators to incorporate women in their policies. We influence legislation on behalf of a special interest making sure that others’ interests are duly defended or even simply making sure that minority interests are fairly defended against mere tyranny of the majority.
We aim to influence public-policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions; it may be motivated from moral, ethical or faith principles or simply to protect an asset of interest. Advocacy can include many activities that a person or organization undertakes including media campaigns, public speaking, commissioning and publishing research or poll or the ‘filing of friend of the court briefs’.
